Station 02

Engineering & Product Development

Mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic design, CAD modeling, and technical documentation, from concept to a manufacturing-ready part.

Executive view

The problem it solves

A product concept isn't enough to manufacture it: it needs to become a model, a drawing, and a bill of materials that a supplier can execute without ambiguity.

What you receive

  • CAD models
  • Dimensioned 2D drawings
  • Bill of materials (BOM)
  • Functional prototype
  • Assembly instructions

Applications

  • New product development
  • Redesign of existing components
  • Reverse engineering of parts with no drawing available
  • Optimizing an assembly for cost or weight

Technical view

Scope

  • Mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic design
  • 3D CAD design
  • Manufacturing drawings
  • Development and optimization of components and assemblies
  • Design for manufacturing
  • Digitization and reverse engineering where applicable
  • Prototype development
  • Bills of materials (BOM)
  • Technical documentation and assembly instructions

Process

  1. Requirement gathering
  2. Conceptualization and scope definition
  3. CAD modeling and engineering review
  4. Documentation for manufacturing or prototyping

Input data

  • Project scope and the goal of the part or assembly
  • Sketches, references, or a physical part, if available
  • Material, standard, or interface constraints
  • Estimated volume and target date

Possible deliverables

  • CAD models
  • Dimensioned 2D drawings
  • Bill of materials (BOM)
  • Functional prototype
  • Assembly instructions

Frequently asked questions

Can you start from a physical part with no drawing?

Yes, through digitization and reverse engineering, when the case allows it.

Do you only deliver the design, or do you also manufacture the part?

Both options are possible: the project can stay in engineering, or continue into CNC machining, 3D printing, or whichever process applies.

What CAD software do you use?

We work with industry-standard 3D modeling tools; the delivery format is agreed on with the client.
